John`s Philly Grille in Huntington Beach

never been a fan of west coast Phillies but this place has to be the real deal. It's sooooo good i can't stop thinking about it. The works with a side of fries is divine.

Love this place! I go there at least once a week! It's all about the South philly sandwich! (pizza steak)

Completely Amazing and Lizzie is AWESOME! It was my first time trying this place and I am disappointed that no one told me about this place sooner. So, I arrived with my wife and kids and we stared at the menu for probably 20 minutes before we made our decisions and approaches the Lizzie the cashier. I told Lizzie what I wanted and she politely and hilarious made a suggestion. I wanted the Chicken Parmesan sandwich, but Lizzie suggested I try the Philly Cheesesteak with Marinara and hot peppers. I did just that and THE SANDWICH BLEW MY MIND. the best way I can describe it is it's like a GOURMET ADULT SLOPPY JOE. Then Lizzie generously gave my wife a sample of the Pizza Fries. I tried those too and again MIND BLOWN. THANKS LIZZIE YOU ARE AWESOME.

If you get the large cheese steak you'd better be very hungry or prepared to share with a friend best cheesesteak in Orange county!

I have been satisfied with the original for 20 years. I have not tried anything else.

Now that's a cheesesteak tried a lot of different ways but this is definitely the best.

Awesome best Avocado hamburger by far and the fries are great.

never tried Philly cheese in Philadelphia but this small chain seems to be a good version of it. Tasty sandwiches and they offer other protein options as well like chicken, burgers, and hot dogs. Will be back for more.

My go to place every time when craving for Philly cheese stake sandwiches. 10/10 would recommend.

As a Drexel University Alumni of 6 years, Johns Philly Grille was a nostalgic experience! The interior decor was spot on and the cheese steak was the most authentic sandwich I have had since I lived in Philly. Looking forward to making this a monthly encounter.

This is the kind of place that the locals know about. If you are passing through the area beach hopping and seeing the landmarks you might only go to the big restaurants but the locals come here. The portions are huge, you will be full when you leave, the customers talk to each other and you will enjoy your entire meal in the shade.

They have a great selection of sandwiches. The staff is friendly, and the service is quick.

I've been living in Philadelphia a while, and would say this is the closest to real Philly sandwich you can get around here. The staff are also kind and respectful. Though, don't try the fries, don't look great :)

Been here a hand full of times and the staff is incredibly friendly and prompt. Their menu has a variety of options and flavors for whatever mood your in that day. Cheesesteaks are always on point, just tried their burgers too and they really deliver a quality meal. Equipped with tasty cakes and all, highly recommended!

Everyone twho works here creates an emotional whirlwind of joy and elation but Lizzy truly rocks. Her customer service crystallizes into stony humor not often found in most of our day to day routines. The burger with bacon was so enriching and nutritious it made me curse my god for pleasures previously denied.

Love the egg and bell pepper sandwich.. An easy coast classic.. The godfather sandwich is huge and spicy...my husband loves it. All their sides are worth trying, the chili cheese fries are great! I stop by whenever I'm around.

A Local Favorite for Cheese steak! If you have time to take it away for ambiance or chow down on their patio, worth it.

This has become my new favorite lunch spot during my work day, food is A+ and they will know you by name. The Godfather is the best, as are all the Bully Burgers. I find myself here every day at lunch when I'm at work and never get tired of it. Great place to go if you are visiting from out of town too

born in raised in Philadelphia I found myself missing the east coast food I left behind when moving to HB. I tried John's Philly grille and, I say this without hesitation their food is amazing and, lives up to my Philly standards. I also was lucky enough to chat with a younger woman manager from Philly and a male manager I believe from Ohio; whom made my family and I who were feeling homesick feel right at home in their presence. I especially appreciated that they both approached my family and I recognizing we had Philly accents. Highly recommend and, if not for nothing they have soft pretzels and, tasty cakes! Go Eagles!

Loved this little hidden gem. Great service. Great place and outstanding food made by people from Philly. Cheese steaks are amazing and the burgers are to die for. The proportions are large and seem fair for the price. Would recommend both families and individuals to stop and try out the place!

John's Special is my go to sandwich here (no lettuce or tomato). Just seems wrong to add lettuce or tomato to a cheese steak sandwich.

Been going there fir a long time. The location on beach blvd is the best as far as philly cheese steak goes. Order the "works" you cant go wrong!

I just left Pat's in Philly, and I have to say I like your cheesesteaks more. Your meats are juicier and things are assembled more consistently. Better value too.

We love John's! We visit every time we are in HB! The Philly Cheese Steak sandwich is the best we've found anywhere in California! The French fries are delicious and the service is wonderful! -enjoy!

Tasty food, right price! I got a cheese burger and it was really good. Their fries are fantastic. My sister and her daughter's got hoagies and said they were excellent.

You will not find better Philly cheese steak better than John's. The prices are a bit steep but you get what you pay for.

Great cheesesteaks and onion rings the sandwiches seem seem to stay hot forever so try not to burn yourself
